This year was completely unlike the past 6 so far, in far ore ways than one.

Friday:
Checked into our room at around 3. All is allright.
Get into my Kyuubi cosplay- This takes 3 hours to set up (pinning things/ets) and all that other jazzy stuff. First time trying make-up, and the whiskers on my face just hated me. I wanted them to align on each cheeck as much as possible. Same with the ears on the wig. Augh. Pinning ears to a wig is difficult- but do-able.

Around 6 I was finished and finally got outside to the con, forgetting my ninjapacks, and needing someone to carry a few of my items. Luckily my friend was available, and while I waited around 10 or so minutes for her to appear, a good 20 or so people took my picture. It's hard to pose when you're hiding a phone, gum pack, and a mirror. e.e0

One my friend appeared I gave her my stuff, and we managed 10 feet before I posed for more pictures. Fun stuff. So I then made my rounds to check out the con (sort of) and simply walked around a bit, happy to be free and out of my room.

When I returned maybe an hour or less later to our room, chaos broke loose. I got back to my room just in time to begin dealing with the toilet flooding our bathroom and hotel room. Once the water started flooding past the bathroom (even past the towels we tried to barricade the water with) we called the front desk- and they took their sweet time getting to our room, to such a point that we had to call again once the water had started flooding into both our lounge and bedroom areas. By that time a couple of our guys had appeared, and one of them figured he might be able to figure out the problem, so we made him remove his sandals and he went in. He ended up holding the toilet handle down and that caused the water to stop, but he had to hold it. Finally after a good 5 more minutes of this, help arrived and fixed the problem.

Luckily he was able to get us into a new room, and we then proceeded to deal with the takes of bringing all of our stuff (luggage and food) to the new room.

Once all that was over, I was done with my costume, and wasn't able to get out again Friday night.

Saturday:
Got up and went in normal clothes to the dealers room to get a Masquerade ticket. Once that was done around 10:40, I went back to my room and got into my Kyuubi cosplay (leisurely this time, since the getting ready time was cut in half, if not more) and ate and stuff. Finished getting ready and ran to the 1:00 Naruto cosplay shoot. During the photoshoot one of my Ninja packs broke and I had to try and repair it with a safety pin. Didn't work out too well but it held it for me, so it wasn't horrible. I just had to be side-specific for pictures. After an hour there I ran back to my room and changed into my Maleficent cosplay. After an hour of prepping, I ran with a Sora cosplayer to the photoshoot area (she knew where it was, I didn't- but in the end I did) and got there in time for Radiant Garden pictures. Stayed there at that photoshoot for a good hour or so (maybe less?) and ran back to my room again to change into normal clothes. After resting for a while and eating a bit, my friends and I finally mustered the strength to get get into the Masquerade line. Got in and watched the Masquerade, and left at around 8 in the evening before judging results. Nothing more to say about Saturday.

Sunday:
Got up early, packed and got into Kyuubi cosplay again- this time only for pictures. While getting ready some a-hole pulled the fire alarm, and supposedly someone (probably a person who hates Ace/us) said they saw 2 con-goers talk about it and pull the fire alarm.

One thing to say: The Fire Marshall hates Acen already guys, don't screw the whole convention over with your shenanigans. They really want to kick us out- and they will use ANYTHING to do so with. The fire alarm may or may not have been pulled by con-goers, but to the hotel and Fire Marshall, it was us either way.

After the alarm, we tried to get back into our room, but surprise surprise, our keys had de-activated somehow, so we were stuck until or friend got them re-activated. Finished dressing, got cosplay pictures for myself (and lord do I look tired and worn out in them DX) changed, and got into normal clothes (except I kept the wig and make-up on) and finally got to the dealers room to buy stuff.

Which is pretty insane since normally I shop and stuff on Saturday. >.> Grrr....

I got MUCH much less this year than any year before. I still have a lot of money left over when normally I spend all of it that I bring. Oh well, it's more to return to my bank account I s' pose.

Once the shopping was over, I waited with my friend for our other friends to get Henna tattoo's, and finally organized the van so we could get home.

Masquerade
2 words. It Sucked. The walk-on cosplays were very good, which sad to say, I think it was the best part of the whole thing. Otherwise the skits were Yaoi, Carmelldansen, Songs, and general blah. There may have been one amusing one, but most of them were so drab that it seriously was a waste of my time. I was rather dissappointed and sad about it.

Oh yeah, and we got Rick Roll'd.... a lot.

In retrospect-
I must participate in Masquerade next year, for skit and walk-on if possible.
