It had been 3 years since she had become a Halfa, and 2 years since she had become an apprentice (if you could call what she did apprenticing) of Clockwork. It had also been 1 1/2 years since she was told that her Universe was a little more unique that most of the other time-dimension-spaces of her 'world.'

The feeling of time shifting was just slightly felt (as well as her ghost sense going off) before she heard him, "Danny."

She paused and looked up from her ever-present math homework (it laughed at her, she knew it did!), "Yes, Clockwork?"

He looked at her for a moment, pausing (which was rather unusual for this ghost) as he changed between forms a few times, "You're rather... unique from the others..."

She blinked as she quirked an eyebrow, swiveling her desk/computer chair to more properly face the elder ghost, "What do you mean?"

"In all other dimension-space and time you are a boy, and your friend Sam... He's a she."

Danny paused, mulling this information over, "So Sam and I are supposed to be the opposite gender? Or.. we are, in pretty much every other universe but here?"

Clockwork nodded, "Yes."

It had been one of the odder moments in her life. She didn't always know what to think of it, but she did have a tingling curiosity. She would have really liked to meet one of the other Danny and Sam's.

Danny pulled out her sword, listening to the metal rubbing against its sheath until it was free. She held it out towards the moon, observing the faded light against the blade. "I wonder if tonight will bring any wanderers... The few ghosts that cross dimensions are few, though that Pariah is rather annoying with his royal-dimension hopping from those time-spaces he conquers." She sheathed her sword and pushed off the roof of the building she stood upon. "Perhaps soon I will meet someone different."
